Kieler, Wisconsin Janice M. Brant, 62, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler where the parish rosary will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Thursday at the parish center before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is serving the family. Janice was born on September 9, 1956, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Vergil J. and Teresa F. (Hesseling) Brant. She graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1974. Janice worked for 45 years at McDonald Supply in Dubuque. Sports were an important part of her life. She enjoyed softball, sand volleyball, winter volleyball and bowling. Janice was secretary for her bowling league for 28 years. She was also a very caring person who always thought of others. Janice served on the Immaculate Conception Parish Council and was a regular blood donor until she was unable to donate due to cancer. Taz, her beagle, was a beloved part of her life. Survivors include two brothers, Ken Brant, of Hazel Green, and David (Mary Jo) Brant, of Cuba City; her godmother, Celina Hesseling; her nieces and nephews, Craig (Heather Johnson) Roth, Niki (Fred Freiburger) Roth, Andy Roth, Amanda (Matthew) Diercks, Aaron (Courtney) Brant, Alex (Amanda) Brant, Alyssa (Darious Johnson) Brant, Dallas (Shelby Kramer) Brant, and Dustin (Alanna Imobersteg) Brant; and twelve great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Debra Leonard; and her godfather, Ray Hesseling. Special thanks to all the family members who helped with her care and spent time with her, especially Makenzie and Hospice of Dubuque.
