Dickeyville, Wisconsin Jerald J. "Jerry" Kowalski, 66, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Monday, September 1, 2014, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott and Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service. Jerry was born on April 8, 1948, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of LaVern and Maxine (Cross) Kowalski. He married Janet Kuhle on August 7, 1971, in Kieler, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1991. Jerry served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked at Dubuque Stamping and Manufacturing retiring in 2010. Jerry enjoyed watching the military channel on TV, drinking Diet Pepsi and watching the Packers. After Janet's death he did a great job of successfully raising three children. Jerry loved being with his grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Tara (Tim) Weimerskirch and their children, Tressa and Tucker, of Dubuque; two sons, Ryan (Britney) Kowalski and their children, Kaden and Kamryn, of Platteville, and Tyler (Kelly) Kowalski and their children, Logan and Carter, of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska; his mother, Maxine Kowalski, of Dubuque; two sisters Judith (Myron) Dalsing, of Lake Wales, Florida, and Janann Kieler, of Dickeyville. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, LaVern and Doris Kuhle, of Dickeyville; five sisters-in-law, Pat (Tom) Fleege, of Hazel Green, Mary Jo (Gene) Runde, of Cuba City, Diane O'Shea, of Dubuque, Kate (Bill) Vickerman, of East Dubuque, and Tina Kuhle, of LaCrosse; and five brothers-in-law, Steve Kuhle and Ken (Jane) Kuhle, both of Dubuque, Rick (Karen) Kuhle, of Lawrence, Kansas, Dan (Claire) Kuhle, of Hazel Green, and Ron (Carolyn) Kuhle, of Platteville. He was also preceded in death by his father, LaVern and a brother Johnell "Jack" Kowalski. A Jerald J. "Jerry" Kowalski Memorial Fund has been established.
