Cuba City, Wisconsin Jerome D. Rider, 84, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away at home on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City with military honors accorded. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Jerome was born on January 1, 1932, in Wauzeka, Wisconsin, the child of Earl L. and Mary E. (Flesch) Rider. He married Marian A. Hore on December 15, 1962, at the Fennimore Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2016. Jerome served in the US Army from 1953-1955. He was a retired John Deere worker of 22 years, a cheesemaker at many factories and a farmer. Jerome was an active VFW member. He loved playing cards, camping with many friends and family, fishing, and watching the Atlanta Braves, Brewers, Packers and Badgers. Survivors include his daughter, Bobbi Jo, of Cuba City; his siblings, Lawrence, of Boscobel, Helen Schmelz, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Loretta Waltz, of Fennimore, Maxine Wall, of Eastman; Wayne, Sr. (Maggie), of Montfort, Rick (Nancy), of Patch Grove; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris Gebhard, Herald Stagman and Shirley (Ralph) Wienkes; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary; his father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Alice Hore; his sisters, LaVonne Gebhard and Leona Stagman; and brothers and sisters-in-law.
