Cuba City, Wisconsin Joan M. Kuhl, 74, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019, at The Finley Hospital in Dubuque. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is serving the family. Joan was born on August 31, 1944, in Elizabeth, Illinois, the daughter of Antone and Veronica (Schaefer) Wand. She married Joseph W. Kuhl on September 7, 1963, at St. Michael’s Church in Galena, Illinois. Joan attended Galena High School and worked as a CNA at the Hazel Green Hospital and Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Later she had her own home cleaning business. She enjoyed going to the casino. Time spent with her family meant the world to her. She always had a positive and upbeat attitude. Joan was selfless and wanted to make sure everyone in her family was taken care of. She was a grandma to so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; a daughter, Veronica McCabe, Ellsworth, WI; two sons, Scott (JoAnn) Kuhl, Ellsworth, WI, and Shawn (Paula) Kuhl, Cuba City, WI; a sister, Geneva Lantou, Galena, IL; a brother, Marvin (Judy) Wand, Galena, IL; thirteen grandchildren, Josh (Mallory), Cheyanna, Brooklyn and Jake McCabe, Lydia, Tacia, Loralei and Nash Kuhl, and Dylan, Trent, Skylar, Chloe and Danika Kuhl; and three great-grandchildren, Adrien, Jager and Maggie McCabe. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Delorse Wand, Melvin Wand, Emma Lou Altfillisch, Neil Wand, John Wand and Carol Wand; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin and Marie Kuhl.
