Cuba City, Wisconsin Joan Mueller, 55, of County Road Z, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at UW-Hospital in Madison. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, with Rev. Donald Lange officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home before the service. She was born on August 22, 1955, the daughter of Gerald and Marjorie (Splinter) Vosberg in Hazel Green, Wisconsin. She married James J. Mueller on October 16, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin. Joan lived for her cows. She touched the lives of many young people both through her activities in and out of the show ring. Joan was known as “Mom” and “Aunt Joan” to many young people who were not blood relatives. She was an “animal person”. Joan enjoyed playing euchre, and was known as “Sparkle Lady” because she loved everything that glittered. Survivors include her husband, Jim; a daughter, Tami, of Fitchburg, Wisconsin; a son, Brian, of Cuba City; and four brothers, Carl (Vicki) Vosberg, of Georgia, Louie (Ruthie) Vosberg, of Cuba City, Richard (Virginia) Vosberg, of Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and Bill Vosberg, of Lancaster, Wisconsin. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Luke Vosberg.
