Joann D. Banfield

Cuba City, Wisconsin JoAnn D. Banfield, 69, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Casey Funeral Home in Cuba City with Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville. Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. JoAnn was born on July 19, 1942, in Platteville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold L. and Helen L. (Wisco) Carpenter. She spent most of her childhood with her grandparents, Arvine and Helen Wisco. JoAnn attended school in Shullsburg and Platteville. She married Dennis Banfield on September 17, 1960. JoAnn loved crocheting, baking, listening to tapes, spending time with her grandchildren and family, visiting on the phone, gardening, and most of all, talking and listening. Survivors include her former husband, Dennis D. Banfield, of Platteville; three daughters, Tina M. Banfield, Holly A. (Ted Ogden) Banfield, and Tracy L. (Dan Hentrich) Banfield, all of Platteville; four sons, Dennis A. (Paula) Banfield, of Phoenix, Arizona, Steve "Guido" (Crystal) Banfield, of Platteville, Mark J. (Shelly) Banfield, of Darlington, and Ryan D. (Darcy Kastner) Banfield, of Cuba City; a sister Nila Tate, of Shullsburg; two brothers, Lynn A. (Darlene) Carpenter, of Platteville, and Kim (Mary Foley) Carpenter, of South Wayne, Wisconsin; seventeen grandchildren, Rachel, Tyler, Jackie, Tori, Brandon, Dylan, Haily, Dalton, Brandon, Nicole, Bristol, Denver, Preston, Gage, Jeremy, Hunter and Chase; and three great-grandchildren, Kyla, Tiana and VicKtor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Helen Carpenter; her grandparents, Arvine and Helen Wisco; and a granddaughter, Breana.
