Joanne Catherine Piquett

Benton, Wisconsin Joanne C. Piquett, 80, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, at home. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Benton with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Benton is in charge of arrangements. Joanne was born on August 15, 1933, in Benton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alban B. and Ella M. (Edwards) Gleason. She married George H. Piquett on October 25, 1952, at St. Patrick's Church in Benton. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2006. Joanne worked as a post office clerk in Benton. Joanne was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 50+ years and of St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors include a sister, Margaret (Paul) Ann McBride, of Shawnee, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Inez Piquett, of Galena, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul Gleason; a sister, Mary Burnell; two brothers-in-law, Gus Piquett and Bob Piquett; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Piquett.
