John A. Treglown, 70, of Montello, Wisconsin, formerly of Benton, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at home. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Benton with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Benton is in charge of arrangements. John was born on October 22, 1945, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Theodore and Rachel (O'Neill) Treglown. John worked at Lafayette County Highway Department for 20 years before retiring. He was a member of Local Union 579. John was an avid reader who loved Science Fiction and British mysteries most of all. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren playing video games. Among John’s favorites were Final Fantasy VII and Crash Bandicoot. John, his daughter Tara, and granddaughter Rachel never missed an episode of The Walking Dead. It was John’s favorite, though he enjoyed others as well. John loved playing board games. His favorites were Solar Quest and Master Detective Clue. John was also a huge Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include a daughter, Tara Treglown, of Westfield, WI; three grandchildren, Alexander Klebenow & Amber Alme, of Belleville, WI, and Rachel Roidt, of Montello, WI; one great-grandchild, Zoey Marie Yacotski, of Montello WI; and an aunt, Rosalie Leglar, of Dubuque, IA. He is also survived by his life long friend, Julie Andreas; and a close personal friend, Father David Carrano. He was preceded in death by his parents.
