Kieler, Wisconsin John C. "Jack" Burlage, 64, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Unity Point Health-Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott and Rev. Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler where the parish scripture wake service will be at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Monday at the parish center before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Jack was born on May 6, 1950, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Leroy S. and Arlene (Runde) Burlage. He married Mary Jo McCrea on January 2, 1971, in Benton, Wisconsin. Jack worked at the John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works for 35 years until he retired in 2013. Jack was a Jamestown Volunteer Firefighter, member of the Southwestern School Board, the Immaculate Conception Holy Name Society, chairperson for the Immaculate Conception 4th of July Picnic, Parish Mulligan Cook, and Pee Wee Baseball coach. Jack was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning. He loved visits from his grandchildren and attending their activities. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo; three daughters, Brenda (Jay) Redfern, of Dickeyville, Lynne (Erin) Rogers and Brooke (Adam) Kaiser, both of Kieler; three sons, Brad (Jodi Monahan) Burlage, of Kieler, Scott (Lynn) Burlage, of East Dubuque, and Todd Burlage, of Kieler; a sister, Jody (Orv) Brothers, of Kieler; three brothers, Dick (Ruth) Burlage, Harry (Kim) Burlage, and Jim "Moose" (Joan) Burlage, all of Kieler; a brother-in-law, Ed Hendricks, of Hazel Green; and twelve grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, Tori, Trina, Logan, Landon, Lincoln, Morgan, Beau, Alli, Charlee, and Hayden. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Phoebe McCrea, of Benton; a brother-in-law, Gary (Marlene) McCrea, of Benton; and four sisters-in-law, Myrna (Jim) Sysko, Renee (Chuck) Wartner, and Michelle Carver, all of Benton, and Marie (Dave) Keleher, of Cambridge, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jeannie Hendricks and Janice Smith; a brother, Tom Burlage; and a brother-in-law, John Smith. A John "Jack" Burlage Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Hermann and the staff at Finley ICU for their dedicated care.
