Dickeyville, Wisconsin John F. Kuepers, 57, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at The Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. John was born on June 18, 1955, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Jerome and Betty (Slaats) Kuepers. He married Christine A. Taylor on June 22, 1979, at the United Methodist Church in Hazel Green. John was the owner of Kuepers III Tavern in Dickeyville. John served as mayor and on the village council in Dickeyville. He was also a 25 year member of the Dickeyville Fire Department, a member of the Grant-Iowa Tavern League, the Dickeyville-Kieler Lions Club and the Grand National Tractor and Truck Pulling Association. Survivors include his wife, Christine; a daughter, Ashley Kuepers, of Dickeyville; a son Casey (Julie) Kuepers and granddaughter due in May, of Dickeyville; his mother, Betty Kuepers, of Dickeyville; two sisters, Linda (Gary) Leibfried and Laura (Mick) Meyer, both of Dickeyville; and three brothers, Luke (Kay) Kuepers, of Dickeyville, Mark Kuepers, of Hazel Green, and Matt (Kim) Kuepers, of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome "Jerry", in 1999.
