Cuba City, Wisconsin John J. Leibfried, 69, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Dubuque from complications from diabetes. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. John was born on July 25, 1946, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the son of James J. and Bertilla (Kaiser) Leibfried. He graduated from Wahlert High School in 1964 and attended Loras College. John worked in sales for many years. First, as a shoe salesman to selling cars for Riley, Dan Kruse and Runde Chevrolet. John enjoyed sports, especially the Packers, Badgers and Atlanta Braves. He loved to spend time with his grandkids. Survivors include his partner, Susan Hinderman, of Cuba City; a daughter Laura (Brad) Borne and her children, Alexander, Daniel, Katherine and Rebecca, of Uniontown, Ohio; a son, Scott (Sandra) Leibfried and their children, Jennifer and Michelle, of Williamsburg, Virginia; five sisters, Jean (Dennis) Funke, Gladys (Jim) McDonald and Donna Leibfried, all of Dubuque, Mary Jo (Brad) Birkett, of Hazel Green, and Linda (Jim) McCarthy, of Davenport; and three brothers, Bob (Betty) Leibfried, of Dubuque, Gary (Linda) Leibfried and Tom (Judy) Leibfried, both of Dickeyville. Also surviving are Jay (Becky) Hinderman and their children Bryce, Ian and Miles, and George (Judy) Andresen, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertilla. A John J. Leibfried Memorial Fund has been established.
