Cuba City, Wisconsin John Kenneth "Ken" Ware, 84, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Ken was born on August 2, 1927, in Elizabeth, Illinois, the son of John and Cecilia (Keleher) Ware. He married Ora M. Fox at St. Rose of Lima Church in 1953. She preceded him in death on February 1, 2000. Ken served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an insurance agent for many years. Ken loved to play golf and was known for his good humor and wit. He was a member of Cole Acres Country Club where he did a lot of the work with the flowers during the early years it was open. Ken was a very good father. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Theresa Ware, of Cresco, Iowa, a son, Rick Ware; two sisters, Patricia Geier, of Des Moines, Iowa, and JoAnne Ware, of Greenfield, Wisconsin; and a brother, Larry (Doris) Ware, of Surprise, Arizona. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeannette "Jan" Wedig and a brother, Louis "Lloyd" Ware.
