Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 and after 10 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church. Jack was born on September 17, 1942, in Galena, Illinois, the son of John and Marian (Alt) Redfearn. He married Mary Ann Pugh on July 11, 1964, in Webb City, Missouri. Jack served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2007 after a career in various roles in the transportation industry. After retirement he pursued his boyhood dream as a beekeeper at Hoch Orchard. Jack liked tinkering in his shop and helping Mary Ann with her concrete leaves and was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Onalaska, WI. Most of all Jack spent his time loving his beautiful wife of 54 years and making everyone he met feel special, loved and appreciated. He was an amazing listener and a truly great friend, mentor and trusted confidante. Through his love of family and friends he became a surrogate dad and grandpa to countless lucky people that he encountered in his life’s travels. As his extended family continued to grow Jack became very talented with Facebook, SnapChat and any other forms of social media that the “kids” were using so that he could stay up to date with everyone. He was truly the faster Facebook “liker” in history. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; two sons, Kerry (Cyndee) Redfearn, of Maricopa, AZ, and Andy (Kateri) Mears, of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Marian "Kay" (Bob) Rutherford, of Cordova, TN, and Cheryl (Bob) Johnson, of Benton; seven brothers, Dale (Virginia) Redfearn and Wayne (Carla) Redfearn, both of Benton, Denny (Joy) Redfearn, Roger (Jane) Redfearn and Lewis (Donna) Redfearn, all of Shullsburg, Dean (Jennifer) Redfearn, of Elizabeth, IL, and Larry Redfearn, of Hazel Green; and seven grandchildren, Nicolas (Katie), of Holmen, Helen, of Indianapolis, Morgan (Adam), of Trempealeau, Isaiah, of Indianapolis, Zachary and Chanlyr, both of Holmen, and Thomas, of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bobby"; a brother, Lyle; and his favorite dog and wingman, Henry. Food will be provided at Benton Bible Church after the internment for anyone who wishes to join.
