Benton, Wisconsin John L. Reynolds, 77, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, January 7, 2021, at home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Benton is assisting the family. John was born on November 27, 1943, in Streator, Illinois, the son of Theophilus and Helen (Haggenson) Reynolds. He married Charlotte Murray on July 7, 1992, in Darlington, Wisconsin. John graduated from Streator Township High School. He worked at Anchor Glass in Streator, Illinois, for 25 years, and Walnut Hollow in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, for ten years. John was member of Bosa Nova Bowling League, Thatcher’s Bowling League and a long time Eagles Club member. He had an amazing green thumb and loved to garden. John was an avid horse trail rider and enjoyed woodworking, puzzles and spending time with his family and loved ones. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; his son, Anthony Reynolds, Manville, IL; two daughters, Sue Oller and Cathy Spellious, both of Streator, IL; a sister, Mary Ann Cullen, Leedsburg, FL; two brothers, Mark (Gayle) Reynolds, Streator, IL, and Robert Reynolds, St. Paul, MN; ten grandchildren; 20+ great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Ruth Reynolds; a son, John Finney Sr.; his parents; and four brothers, William, Donald, Thomas and Larry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the John L. Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home at 123 N. Jackson St., Cuba City, WI. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Dubuque and Dr. Morgan-Ihrig of Mercy Medical Center.
