Dickeyville, Wisconsin Joseph C. Dietzel, 89, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 1:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:45 Monday at the funeral home before the service. Joseph was born on August 13, 1928, on the family farm near Dickeyville, Wisconsin, the son of Leonard and Regina (Ames) Dietzel. He married Rose Marie Roling on October 24, 1950, at St. Patrick's Church in Benton. She preceded him in death on February 29, 2004. Joseph farmed his entire life. Joseph loved to dance, play cards and tease his grandchildren. He loved to travel and visited all 50 states. Survivors include four daughters, Karla (Kevin) Wiederholt and Arlene (Joe) Alt, both of Cuba City, and Mary (Brian) Jacobson and Linda (Steve) Wiederholt, both of Hazel Green; a son, Dallas (Dena) Dietzel, of Dickeyville; a daughter-in-law, Doris (Dietzel) Alt, of Platteville; two sisters, Margaret Bies, of Bellevue, Iowa, and Rosella Casper, of Platteville; a brother, Edmund (Malinda) Dietzel, of Dickeyville; a special friend and sister-in-law, Marie Dietzel, of Cuba City, a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pearce, of Sparks, Nevada; sixteen grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alan, on October 13, 1977; a brother, Arnold; a sister, Hildegard Monner; five brothers-in-law, Melvin, Cyril, John, Earl, Carl; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Bernadine. A Joseph C. Dietzel Memorial Fund has been established. Thanks to Dr. White and all who cared for Dad at Epione Pavilion Nursing Home in Cuba City.
