Born April 18, 1961, in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Robert and Ruth (Martens) Harris. Julie was a free-spirited, flower child from beginning to end. Julie's beautiful smile and charm captured the heart of Lloy “Corky” Clough, who became the love of her life, and they married August 9th, 1980, just one year after she graduated from Benton High School. It wasn't long before Julie and Lloy welcomed Cory, Chelse, and Chris. That was when life became really exciting!

Although Julie was busy raising her three children, she still managed to work. Julie enjoyed her days working as a cashier at the Oky Doky, where she became known as the "Jewel of the Nile." She made friends easily and was known for her energetic, bubbly personality. She also made use of her charm and talent as a casino dealer and floor supervisor in Dubuque. Julie even completed her degree in medical coding, but unfortunately, her health was taking a toll and she was no longer able to work.

Despite the decline in Julie's physical abilities, the free-spirited flower child remained. Julie loved to spend her days watching movies, dancing (even from her wheelchair), watching her son's band, singing (off key), and being with those she loved. She couldn't go anywhere without making a new friend. From all those who knew and loved Julie, we will miss you forever.

Survivors include three children, Cory (Stephanie) Clough, Galena, IL, Chelse (Donald Silber) Krueger, Shullsburg, WI, and Christopher (Chelsea Robbins) Clough, Benton; her mother, Ruth Harris-Callan, Benton; three siblings, Bob (Rose) Harris, Jr., Benton, Laura Koeller, Minneapolis, MN, and Lynne (Tim) Walton, Verona, WI; and three grandchildren, Caden Loeffelholz, Brinley Krueger and Sawyer Krueger.

She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Ruthanne "Boo Boo" Harris; her grandparents, Joe and Lavada Brunskill; and a brother-in-law, Stirling Fuller.

The family wishes to thank the Benton First Responders for their care and compassion.

Julie loved flowers and we want to shower her with them. All flowers are welcome.
