Cuba City, Wisconsin Kathleen J. "Kathy" Brant, 69, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Kathleen was born on October 12, 1943, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bernard and Myrtle (Wills) Doyle. She married her high school sweetheart, James "Jim" Brant, on May 8, 1965, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. Kathleen graduated from Cuba City High School in 1961 and from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1964. She did clinical nursing for 32 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Council of Catholic Women and also volunteered her time chaperoning special needs persons. Kathleen enjoyed playing cards, especially canasta, and going to Nashville each year for Fanfare Week. Survivors include her husband, Jim; a son, Allen (Marsha) Brant, and their children, Katie, Nick and Alex, of New London, Wisconsin; three daughters, Lisa (Barry) Pack and their children, Kimberly and Kayla, of Clearwater, Florida, Linda Brant, and her children, Courtney and Carmen, of Cuba City, and Brenda (Chris) Brown, and their children, Erin, Michael and Laura, of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Barbara Doyle; an infant sister, Janet; and an infant granddaughter, Jamie. A Kathleen J. "Kathy" Brant Memorial Fund has been established.
