Kathleen T. “Kay” Bussan, 86, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services where the parish and Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Kay was born on February 19, 1923, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Francis and Adelaide (Kaiser) Busch. She married Allen J. Bussan on January 19, 1943. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2005. Kay was a Charter Member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #4 and a member of the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and making cookies. Kay very much enjoyed her grandchildren…making cookies with them, reading to them, and just plain spending time with them. Survivors include five sons, Ronald (Carol) Bussan, of Waukesha, James (Kathryn) Bussan, of Dickeyville, Dr. Kenneth Bussan, of Madison, David (Tamara) Bussan, of Dubuque, and Steven (Lynn) Bussan, of Grand Meadow, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren, Jeremy David Bussan and Jaclyn Ann Bussan. In lieu of flowers a Kathleen T. “Kay” Bussan Memorial Fund has been established.
