Potosi, Wisconsin Kyle D. "Gibby" Vosberg, 19, of Potosi, Wisconsin, died Friday, February 12, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott and Rev. Richard Leffler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:45-9:45 a.m. Thursday at the parish center before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Kyle was born on October 11, 1996, in Platteville, Wisconsin, the son of David J. "Bubba" and Lisa R. (Emler) Vosberg. He was a 2015 graduate of Potosi High School and was going to attend Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in August for the lineman program. Currently he worked at the Gary Budden Farm and Vosberg Farms near Cuba City. Kyle lived by his own standards, never letting any grass grow under his feet. He was a caring, thoughtful and gentle individual and loved his family and friends. His generosity as an organ donor is saving many lives. Kyle was a gentle giant with great "bear hugs." He enjoyed country music. Kyle was a lover of the land and thoroughly enjoyed farming. #FlyHighKyle Survivors include his father, David "Bubba" Vosberg, of Louisburg; his mother and stepfather Lisa and Eric "Benny" Gotzinger, of Potosi; two sisters, Katie (Justin Roling) Vosberg, of Louisburg, and Kalynn Sarah Vosberg, of Potosi; his grandparents, Sam and Bernie Emler, of Potosi, and Francis "Franny" and Heidi Vosberg, of Louisburg; his step-grandmother, Meredith "Sis" Gotzinger, of Potosi; and his great-grandparents, Harlan "Rink" and Betty Emler, of Lancaster. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Chad and Missy Emler, and Ryne (his godfather) and Heidi Emler, both of Potosi, Kathy Berning, of Hazel Green, Dale and Sharon Vosberg, of Cuba City, Vicki (his godmother) and Kevin Gehl, of Cascade, Iowa, and Julie and Steve Thomas, of Cuba City; a special friend, Taylor Bloyer, of Potosi; and many special cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Dennis Berning, and a cousin, Martin Gehl. A Kyle D. "Gibby" Vosberg Memorial Fund has been established.
