Leo Stoll, Jr. 92, of Platteville, WI died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Park Place in Platteville. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernie Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Potosi Post 473 and the Berg-Averkamp VFW Potosi Post 5276. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Leo was born on November 22, 1919 in Potosi, WI to Leo and Evelyn Ritcher Stoll. After graduating from Potosi High School, Leo attended Marquette University before moving to California where he lived for 70 years before returning home. He served in Europe during World War II. He is survived by a niece, Donna (Clifford) Schollmeyer Weber; a nephew Jerry (Linda) Cummer; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Schollmeyer Stoll; his parents; and two nieces Elaine (Delbert) Fritz and Rose (Hobart) Hind. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Legion Potosi Post 473 and the Berg-Averkamp VFW Potosi Post 5276. The family would like to thank Angie Pierce and all the caring staff at Park Place in Platteville for their compassionate care and friendship given to Leo. Also a special thank you to Grant County Hospice.
