Leonard V. Runde

Cuba City, Wisconsin Leonard V. "Lenny" Runde, 63, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque. Services will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014, at St. Joseph's Church in Sinsinawa with Rev. Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8-8:45 a.m. Saturday at the church before the service. Lenny was born on July 24, 1951, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the son of Archie and Genevieve (Salwolke) Runde. He married Mary Fleege on September 14, 1974, in Sinsinawa. Lenny worked in construction for Stangl Construction and Maryville Construction. He also was a dairy farmer and custodian at St. Joseph's Church, cutting the grass at the church and cemetery. Lenny loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking. Lenny always looked forward to his Friday afternoon card playing at St. Joseph's. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Tina (Troy) Marine, of Milwaukee; a brother, Roger Runde, of Hazel Green; two sisters, Audrey (Jim) Alt, of DePere, Wisconsin, and Joyce (Larry) Molitor, of Cordova, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Carol Runde, of New Glarus, Wisconsin; his father and mother-in-law, Harold and Marion Fleege, of Hazel Green; and two grandchildren, Alexis and Ashley Marine. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Paul Runde; and a nephew, Larry Molitor Jr. A Leonard V. "Lenny" Runde Memorial Service has been established.
