Leora B. Liddle

Leora B. Liddle, 86, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Hazel Green with Pastor Ed Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Leora was born on July 18, 1924, in Crawford County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Forest and Grace (Sopher) Dull. She married Ralph D. “Tut” Liddle on July 3, 1945. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2005. Leora loved her family, playing cards and games, and was always quick to set the table for a good meal. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Leora loved gospel music, church programs and her Bible—she just LOVED JESUS. She made all people who entered her home feel welcome, and she showed Christ to all visitors. Survivors include two daughters, Linda S. (Terry) Slater, of Platteville, and Beverly A. (Bruce) Oestreich, of Dubuque; a son, Larry (Lorri) Liddle, of Dubuque; four sisters, Orpha M. (Dominic) Savala, Barbara J. (Richard) Easton, Viola Scadden, and Shirley A. Viederis, all of the Rockford, Illinois area; a brother, Robert (Sarah) Dull, also of the Rockford area; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry L. Dean; a grandson, Mike Slater; a sister, Rosetta M. Trecek; and four brothers, William, Warren, Forest, and Cecil.
