Sinsinawa, Wisconsin Lindsay M. Wubben-Simonini, 26, of Dubuque, Iowa, died Sunday, September 1, 2013, at UW-Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at St. Joseph's Church in Sinsinawa with Rev. Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service. Lindsay was born on February 6, 1987, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Betty (Heller) Wubben. She married Matt Simonini on August 31, 2013. Lindsay worked as an author account manager at Kendall Hunt Publishing in Dubuque. Lindsay truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially Matt and her puppy "her daughter", Coral. Her contagious smile and sense of humor put a smile on everyone's face. She enjoyed reading, her book club, and her "girls' night out" friends. Lindsay loved to tease and play jokes on others, especially her brother and sister. She fought her disease hard her entire life until the very end, never complaining or wanting others to feel sorry for her. Survivors include her husband, Matt, of Dubuque, Iowa; her parents, Dan and Betty Wubben, of Sinsinawa; her siblings, Molly and Josh, both of Sinsinawa; her maternal grandparents, Harold and Teresa Heller, of Sinsinawa; her paternal grandmother, Rosalinda Wubben, of Council Hill, Illinois; her mother and father-in-law, Kelly and Vince Simonini, of Cassville; a brother-in-law, Richard Simonini and his daughter, Rylee, of Cassville; and a sister-in-law, Theresa Simonini, of Cassville. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Leo Wubben; a cousin, Ryan Wubben; an uncle, David Runde, and a family friend, David Schneider. A Lindsay Wubben-Simonini Memorial Fund has been established.
