Cuba City, Wisconsin Lois J. Hungerford, 85, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery at a later date. Lois was born on February 23, 1930, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Mary H. (Reeson) Buckingham. She married William Hungerford on May 7, 1994. Lois owned and operated "Lois's Place" in Shullsburg. After retirement she moved to Florida for several years. When her husband died she returned to the Cuba City area. Lois loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Rakow, of Shullsburg; a son, Larry (Kija) Prine, of Ruckersville, Virginia; a sister, Alice Heim, of Friendship, Wisconsin; a brother, Edgar Buckingham, of Dodgeville; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Oberg; a son, Ronald Prine; a grandson, Tim Prine; a brother, Harland Buckingham; and a son-in-law, Johnny Rakow. The family would like to thank Epione Pavilion for the love and care they gave to their mother during her stay there.
