Lorene M. Kreul

Benton, Wisconsin Lorene M. Kreul, 93, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012, at St. Patrick's Church in Benton with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Benton where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church before the service. Lorene was born on March 20, 1919, in East Dubuque, Illinois, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Foht) Roth. She married James Kreul on April 23, 1942, in East Dubuque. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1982. Lorene enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, embroidery and card playing. She was a member of the Benton VFW Auxiliary #7896. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sharon Kreul Tesmer, of Janesville; three grandchildren, Theresa Jansen, of Whitehall, Wisconsin, Jason (Sherry) Kreul, of Lakeland, Florida, and David (Teresa) Kreul, of Prairie du Chien; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terrence, on December 3, 1978; a great-grandchild, Benjamin Jansen; and a sister, Lucille.
