Margaret G. Coates

Madison, Wisconsin Margaret G. Coates, 78, of Madison, Wisconsin, formerly of Fennimore, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012, at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Private family graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Primitive Methodist Cemetery in Leadmine. Margaret G. (Cherrey) Coates was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Dec. 7, 1933 and raised in Benton, Wisconsin by Laura (Pratt) and Edwin Cherrey. She graduated from Benton High School. She is survived by four children, Thomas E. (Kimberly) Coates, of Janesville, Peggy (Ron) Ryan, of Prairie du Sac, Marsha (Mark) Clark, of Cascade, Montana, and Molly (Steve) Hicks, of Evansville; six grandchildren, Misty (Aaron) Symkowski, Thomas Lee Coates, Justin (Becky) Clark, Maranda Clark, Dylan Clark and Griffin Hicks; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Clark and Paige Clark Pauley, and Baby Symkowski on the way. She is also survived by two brothers and five sisters, DuWayne Vandebusche, of Gunnison, Colorado, Patt Vandenbusche, of Cannon City, Colorado, Judie (Jerome) Verbrigghe, of Rock, Michigan, Ginny (Bob) Ertle, of Denver, Colorado, Peggy (Jim) Boydstein, of Cannon City, Colorado, Bonnie Thorne, of California, and Joe Bortmess, of Milwaukee.
