Marie A. Geiger

Madison, Wisconsin Marie A. Geiger, 85, of Madison, Wisconsin, formerly of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Hazel Green with Rev. Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is assisting the family. Marie was born on January 20, 1934, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter Reiner and Mary Elizabeth (Stockel) Wubben. She married James B. Geiger on November 17, 1957, in Madison, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2015. Marie worked for over 30 years for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Marie enjoyed gardening and visiting with friends, neighbors and family. Her trip to Ireland with her sister, Loraine, was special. She had no children but was very close to her nieces and nephews. Her poodles were like children to her. Survivors include two brothers, Melvin Wubben, Ada, Michigan and William “Willie” (Betsy) Wubben, Hazel Green. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Loraine Wubben, Nancy Sullivan, Alice Fitzgerald and Mary Strub and two brothers, LeRoy and LaVerne Wubben.
