Cuba City, Wisconsin Marie A. Kuhl, 95, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Sinsinawa. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 5:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home before the service. Marie was born on November 17, 1915, in Paris Township near Dickeyvillle, Wisconsin, the daughter of Peter and Agnes (Splinter) Neis. She married Melvin Kuhl on April 21, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1983. Marie worked as a cook at various supper clubs in the area. She was a loving wife & mother. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Hoppman and Glenda (Bruce) Miller, both of East Dubuque; two sons, Joseph (Joan) Kuhl and Richard (Terry) Kuhl, both of Cuba City; thirteen grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Olefa, Margaret and Hilda; three brothers, Oliver, Gerald and Burnell; a son-in-law, Thomas W. Hoppman; a grandson, Marty Hoppman; and three great-grandchildren, Randall Phillip Hoppman Jr, Austin Thomas Hoppman and Alex Thomas Hoppman. A Marie A. Kuhl Memorial Fund has been established.
