Dickeyville, Wisconsin Marie K. Donar, 86, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Marie was born on July 24, 1928, in Springbrook, Iowa, the daughter of Florian and Clara (Steines) Schmidt. She attended grade school at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Springbrook and high school at St. Joseph's in Bellevue, Iowa. Marie married Oscar Donar on April 30, 1946, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Springbrook. Together they lived and worked on a farm near Kieler where they attended Immaculate Conception Church. In 1987 they moved to Dickeyville, and were members of Holy Ghost Parish where she sang in the choir and belonged to the Council of Catholic Women. Together they raised six children. She worked as a waitress and clerk, and she and Oscar ran their own clock shop business for over 25 years. For recreation she enjoyed pitching horseshoes, bowling, gardening, watching the birds, and playing all kinds of games. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Oscar; her children, Judy (Dick) Timmerman, of Cuba City, James (Marijo), of Marion, IA, Dennis (Michelle), of Bloomington, WI, Kathryn (Zoltan) Kadar, of Appleton, WI, Keith (Brenda), of Dickeyville, and Kevin (Barb) Donar, of South Wayne, WI; a brother, Rt. Rev. Florian J. Schmidt, of Dubuque, IA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Harry and Dorothy Donar; three sisters, Evelyn Brant, Gilda Martelle, and Myrna Pumphrey; and three brothers, Rev. Wilfred W. Schmidt, Floyd and Paul Schmidt. A Marie K. Donar Memorial Fund has been established. The family wishes to thank the staff of Epione Pavilion for their loving care.
