Marie M. Busch Foecking

Galena, Illinois Marie M. Busch Foecking, 91, of Galena, Illinois, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Galena Stauss Senior Living. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service. Marie was born on October 4, 1927, in Galena, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Helena (Kaiser) Berning. She married Arnold H. “Arnie” Busch on May 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1993. She married William Richard “Richie” Foecking in December of 2002. He survives her. Marie worked at Cuba City Medical Center, Cuba City State Bank, and particularly loved her job working with animals at Veterinary Associates in Hazel Green. Many nights were spent dancing to the Jack Busch Orchestra. Survivors include her sons, Mark (Elaine) Busch, Mineral Point, WI, Paul (Sue) Busch, Bridgeton, MO, and Jerry (Beth) Busch, Cuba City, WI; two sisters, Rita Heim, Hazel Green, WI, and Elma Berning, Galena, IL; a sister-in-law, Joan Berning, Galena, IL; stepchildren, Lee (Lynn) Foecking, Kirk Foecking, Kristine (Pat) McCarthy, Lynn (Tim) Sproule, and Ann Abraham; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matt Busch; a brother, Harry Berning; and a brother-in-law, Al Heim.
