Mary Jo L. Droessler Stephenson Robbins, 85, of Delafield, Wisconsin, formerly of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, went home to the Lord Monday, April 21, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Hazel Green, Wisconsin, with Rev. Peter Auer officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be held in the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. followed by the recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet prior to the service. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City, Wisconsin, is assisting the family.
Mary Jo was born on December 21, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Cyril and Erma (Sitzman) Droessler. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Dubuque, in 1957.
Mary Jo was united in marriage to Donald Stephenson in May of 1959. They had two daughters: Kathleen and Kelly. Don preceded Mary Jo in death in September of 1962.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Robbins in June of 1965 and they were blessed with four additional children: Kristine, Karla, Francis, and Kalleen.
Mary Jo filled her life with faith and prayer. She had a devotion to Eucharistic adoration.
She loved to dance and play the piano. She excelled at arts and crafts, making ceramics to weaving baskets and restoring furniture. Trying new recipes was an adventure!
Mary Jo loved her grandchildren. Family gatherings were a joy especially if she could make some zucchini bread or pumpkin pies for everyone to take home.
Survivors include her children, Kathy (John) Sanders, Waukesha , WI, Kelly Robbins Stephenson (John Lipscomb) Cedarburg, WI, Kristine (Mark) Erickson, Naples, FL, Karla (Dirk) Willis, Kohler, WI, and Kalleen (Mike) Bruch, Wind Lake, WI; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Jones) Stephenson, Slidell, LA; 11 grandchildren, Michael (Cassie Godfrey) Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Michele Stoehr, Mandy Stoehr, Natalie (Luke Stanczyk) Erickson, Becky Erickson, McLean Bennett, Logan Willis, Sean Bruch, Ian Bruch, and Aidan Bruch; one great-grandson, Soren Sanders; and 14 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald Stephenson; and a son, Francis Robbins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary Jo’s name may be sent to the funeral home at 123 N. Jackson St., Cuba City, WI 53807.
