Las Vegas, Nevada Michael L. Guild, 47, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, and Chicago, Illinois, passed away as the result of injuries sustained in an accident when struck by a vehicle while waiting at a bus stop in Las Vegas. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Michael was born on November 7, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Norman and Elizabeth “Betty” Guild. He was a fun loving and caring person who liked to have a good time. People would often call him “Hollywood” or “Kid Rock”. Michael loved to cook, his dream was to move to Las Vegas and go to culinary school. Even though his dream never came true, he made many friends in Vegas. Those Michael left behind include his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Guild, of Cuba City; his brother, John Guild, of Cuba City; his sister, Michelle (Steve) Guild-Platowski, of Cuba City; an uncle, Thom (Patrice) Hubbard, of Palm Harbor, Florida; his aunt and godmother, Kathleen Hartwig, of Auburndale, Wisconsin; loving friends, Rob Weiglein, of Elmwood Park, Illinois, and Helen Yiatras, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and many cousins. Michael was reunited in paradise with his father, Norman Guild; his uncles, Steven Guild and Robert Hartwig; and loving grandparents, great-aunts and great-uncles. A Michael L.
