Mildred A. Robbins

May 29, 1928 — June 15, 2009

Millie was born on May 29, 1928, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Irene (Haberkorn) Pfeiler. She married Glenn Mootz who died in 1962. She then married George Robbins in 1965. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2007. Millie worked at Southwest Health Center in the dietary department. Millie enjoyed her patio and flowers, and loved pets. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include three sons, Daniel (Tracy) Mootz and Ronald (Kathleen) Mootz, both of Cuba City, and David Mootz, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; a daughter, Susan (Christopher) Lovell, of Harvard, Illinois; her stepchildren, Beverly (Francis) Marcue, of Lancaster, George Thomas (Jeanine) Robbins, of Potosi; fourteen grandchildren and step grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas in October 1979. In lieu of flowers a Mildred A. “Millie” Robbins Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to thank Dr. Hermann and Dr. Tony and their nurses, Sara, Linda, Sandy, Gail and Judy, and Hospice of Dubuque, especially Mary, Jane and Stephanie.
