Myrtle E. Kaiser

Myrtle E. “Myrt” Kaiser, 92, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Hazel Green, Wisconsin, with Rev. Peter Auer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, Wisconsin.

Myrt was born on July 24, 1931, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Dausner) Kruse. She was united in marriage to Ireneaus Kaiser on February 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1981.

Myrt worked as a clerk at Walmart for 30 years where she enjoyed socializing with the customers. She also helped Ireneaus on the family farm. Myrt was an accomplished gardener and enjoyed bingo, playing cards, crossword puzzles, embroidery and sewing. During her travels, Myrt loved collecting salt and pepper shakers as mementos.

Myrt is survived by five children, Judy (Greg) Runde, Sullivan, WI, Nancy (Verl) Meyer, Eldridge, IA, Ronald (Connie) Kaiser and Kenneth (Lisa) Kaiser, both of Cuba City, and Earl (Theresa) Kaiser, Platteville, WI; a son-in-law, Dave Sue, Belmont, WI; three sisters-in-law, Mary Kruse, Lois Kaiser and Germaine (Jim) Hying; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Olivia Kaiser; a daughter, Linda Sue; a sister, Donna Kruse; two brothers, Elmer (Ruth) Kruse and Duane Kruse; a sister-in-law, Jeanette (Harvey) Schroeder; and two brothers-in-law, Norbert (Grace) Kaiser and Jerome Kaiser.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of St. Dominic Villa and Hospice of Dubuque for their care of Myrt.
