Ohmer L. "Mack" McCarter, 76, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Pastor Calvin Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Ohmer was born on October 8, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the son of Lee and Julia (Pansigru) McCarter. He married Virginia J. Ward on June 20, 1964, at the United Methodist Church in Benton. He worked as a chef at local supper clubs. Ohmer enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking and baking. Survivors include his wife, Virginia; two daughters Julie Richter, of Cuba City, and Pamela Redfearn, of Granger, Indiana; a sister, Dorothy Wissenbach, of Cottonwood, Arizona; a brother, Leo (Dolores) McCarter, of Bonita Springs, Florida; and a grandchild, Abigail Richter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard McCarter and a sister-in-law, Jean McCarter.
