Dickeyville, Wisconsin Oscar F. Donar, 92, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Oscar was born on June 18, 1923, in Jamestown Township, Wisconsin, the son of Harry and Dorothy "Dory" (Bollen) Donar. He married Marie K. Schmidt on April 30, 1946, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Springbrook, Iowa. She preceded him in death on November 4, 2014. Oscar worked as a farmer, in construction, and did maintenance at Mt. St. Francis in Dubuque. He helped restore and maintain the Grotto in Dickeyville. Oscar and Marie ran their own clock shop business for 25 years. Oscar was a very tenderhearted soul. For recreation he enjoyed pitching horseshoes, bowling, fishing, woodworking, gardening, watching birds, and playing cards and visiting with his friends. Survivors include his children, Judy (Dick) Timmerman, of Cuba City, James (Marijo), of Marion, IA, Dennis (Michelle), of Bloomington, WI, Kathryn (Zoltan) Kadar, of Appleton, WI, Keith (Brenda), of Dickeyville, and Kevin (Barb), of South Wayne, WI; a brother, Melvin (Teresa) Donar, of Cuba City; a brother-in-law, Ken Pumphrey, of Rockford, IL; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law, Florian and Clara Schmidt; three sisters-in-law; and six brothers-in-law. An Oscar F. Donar Memorial Fund has been established. The family wishes to thank the staff of Epione Pavilion for their loving care.
