Benton, Wisconsin Patricia A. Ruehle, 77, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Saturday, January 4, 2014, at home. Services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. Bill Vasey officiating. Private family burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Patricia was born on February 27, 1936, in Benton, Wisconsin, the daughter of James C. and Anna K. (Diedrich) Richardson. She married Ray Banister in Chicago. Patricia was a very strong and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. Her world was her family. Any stray animal that would be brought into her home would be cared for and healed. Patricia loved working as a caregiver. It gave her great pleasure to be able to help someone in need. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth "Lisa" (Patrick) Burchfield, of Shullsburg, Linda (Ronald Reed) Homer and Virginia "Ginnie" (Mike) Gushuslak, both of Hazel Green; a son, Leonard "Lenny" (Patty) Banister, of New Diggings; three brothers, Evan (Marilynn) Diedrich, of Sterling, Illinois, James (Dee) Richardson, of Bensenville, Illinois, and Paul (Kathy) Wojton, of Banning, California; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna (Wojton) Richardson; a son, John Banister; a daughter, Dolores Watson; a sister-in-law, Dolores Doering; and her former husband, Ray C. Banister on January 14, 2010. In lieu of flowers, a Patricia A. Ruehle Memorial Fund has been established.
