Hazel Green, Wisconsin Paul L. Schroeder, 74, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, formerly of Kieler, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott and Rev. Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the parish center before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Paul was born on April 18, 1941, in Potosi, Wisconsin, the son of Arnold and Theresa (Simon) Schroeder. He married Darlene Pickel on June 12, 1962, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler. She preceded him in death on November 19, 1991. Paul worked at and retired from John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works. Paul was a member of the Jamestown Fire Department, the Jamestown Town Board and Park Board, and a volunteer for the Dubuque Fighting Saints. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Parish Council, Cemetery Association and Holy Name Society, and the Catholic Knights. Paul enjoyed his Friday lunch crew and daily visits with his neighbors. Survivors include four daughters, Lynne (Chuck) Brant, of Potosi, Vickie (Ted) Schroeder-Harvey, of Dubuque, Joan (Dennis) Benish, of Nelson, WI, and Brenda (Chris) Creighton, of New Richmond, WI; two sons, Rick (Shelly) Schroeder, of Hazel Green, and Brian (Amie) Schroeder, of New Richmond, WI; a sister, Carol (Frank) Holmgren, of Cambridge, MN; two sisters-in-law, Lavon (Ron) Heinricy, of Kieler, and Dolores Pickel, of Platteville; two brothers-in-law, Kenny (Berneice) Pickel and Pete (Arlene) Pickel, both of Kieler; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Amber Schlarmann; a brother, Leo Schroeder; infant twin siblings, Gerald and Geraldine Schroeder; and a brother-in-law, Orville Pickel.
