Paquette on September 17, 1966, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. Richard graduated as a Civil Engineer in 1961 from Iowa State University. This led him to eventually taking a job at DB&T for 20 years, where he was hired as their Vice President of Computer Operations. Dick had a great sense of humor, was an avid gardener, bee keeper, woodworker, and hobby farmer. He embodied a "can do" approach to life and was always willing to lend a helping hand. What's more, he took great pride in being a Vikings fan in the land of Packers fans. Survivors include his wife, Judy; two daughters, Christine Schutjer, of Chicago, Illinois, and Cynthia (Jim) Norman, of Dubuque; a son, Steven R. (Sharon) Schutjer, of Waterloo, Iowa; a brother, Jim Schutjer, of Apple Valley, Minnesota; three grandchildren, James, William and Dylan Norman; and also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly (Paul) Wirtz. A Richard H. Schutjer Memorial Fund has been established.
