Cuba City, Wisconsin Robert A. "Bob" McCabe, 61, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident near Platteville. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cuba City. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call from 9:30 -10:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Bob was born on November 26, 1954, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Harold V. "Bully" and Sally R. (Byrne) McCabe. He married Kay M. Boyer on May 19, 1984, near Dickeyville, Wisconsin. Bob worked at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works, retiring after 41 years in 2014. Bob loved Harley Davison motorcycles, the Green Bay Packers, gardening, canning, golfing, hunting, and traveling in their 5th Wheel with his wife Kay. He found enjoyment in woodworking. Bob also loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grandson Preston. Survivors include his wife, Kay; a son, Ryan (Susan) McCabe, of Walton, Indiana; a grandson, Preston McCabe; three sisters, Judy (Bruce) Clark, of Platteville, Carol Keenan, of Two Rivers, and Tari (Jeff Oakes) McCabe, of Cobb; two brothers, Paul (Robin) McCabe, of Mequon, and Joseph (Diane) McCabe, of Redwood City, California; his mother-in-law, Rowena Boyer, of Cuba City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Robert A. "Bob" McCabe Memorial Fund has been established.
