Robert A. "Bob" Taylor, 55, of Belmont, Wisconsin, passed peacefully from this life and entered into eternal rest with his Lord Sunday, April 24, 2016, while at home with his family. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with J.R. Siegler officiating. Friends and family may call from 9-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home before the service. Bob was born May 27, 1960, to Arden and Lorraine (Lenzendorf) Taylor in Boscobel, Wisconsin. He was married to Debra Gunter on February 24, 1979, in Platteville, Wisconsin. Bob was baptized into Christ in 1979 and was a faithful member of the Lord’s church. After graduating from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore in 1990, Bob became a successful business man. He began and managed Southwest Logistics, Inc. in Platteville for many years. His customers and employees always came first and he made sure they were taken care of. After disagreements with partners, he moved on to manage Riverside Logistics, Inc. in Lancaster where he continued to work in the transfer and storage industry that he enjoyed. His many interests included: Packer football, Nascar racing, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling, restoring his ’70 SS Chevelle, rebuilding the ’72 Chevy pickup, and working around the homestead. Bob was a loving, kind, generous man who enjoyed life. He loved to spend time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Friends and family were extremely important to him and he helped all whenever he was able. He will be greatly missed by all of the hearts he has touched over the years. Survivors include his wife, Debra; three sons, Wayne Taylor, of Beaver Dam, Justin (Ashley) Taylor, of Belmont, and Garet (Beth) Taylor, of Lancaster; three sisters, Marsha Mueller, of Cuba City, Chris (friend George) Kuepers, of Dickeyville, and Kim Taylor, of Platteville; four brothers, Ronald (friend Chris) Taylor, of Bloomington, Jim (Lynn) Taylor, of Dubuque, Todd (Kelly) Taylor, of Oconomowoc, and Tom (Carrie) Taylor, of Potosi; his mother-in-law, Darlene Gunter, of Potosi; and six grandchildren, Destiny, Cole, Brittany, Abby, Addison and Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Mueller and John Kuepers; and his father-in-law, George Gunter. A Robert A. "Bob" Taylor Memorial has been established.
