Sinsinawa, Wisconsin Robert B. “Bob” Hoppman, 79, of Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, as the result of an accident near his home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sinsinawa with Rev. Lance Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Bob was born on April 25, 1932, in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, the son of William and Bertilla (Fleege) Hoppman. He married Elizabeth Kaiser on November 9, 1957. Bob farmed his entire life, retiring in 2000. He also worked at the Sinsinawa Mound for a number of years. Bob liked to spend time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Betty; four daughters, Julie (Bob) Runde, of Belmont, Mary (Ken) Placke, of Hazel Green, Sue (Ken) McVay, and Sara (Charlie) McDermott, both of Cuba City; Mark (Lisa) Hoppman, of Cuba City, and Mike (Monica) Hoppman, of Galena; three sisters, Myrtle Busch, of Cuba City, Jane (Donald “Sam”) Dalsing, of Kieler, and Ellen (Larry) Freiburger, of East Dubuque; a brother-in-law, Jim McMahon, of Dubuque; eighteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa; a granddaughter, Claudia McDermott; a sister, Betty McMahon; and three brothers-in-law, Bob Busch, Gerry Kaiser, and Bob Drozda.
