Cuba City, Wisconsin Robert J. “Bob” Busch, 75, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the Catholic Daughters rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home before the service. Bob was born on February 3, 1936, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of John and Edna (Fleege) Busch. He married Myrtle Hoppman on February 19, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Church in Sinsinawa. Bob farmed all of his life. He also worked for Truck Country, Wiederholt Enterprises, CB& C, Shullsburg Cheese and Kowalski-Kieler. Bob was a member of the Army National Guard for six years. He was a member of the FFA Alumni, Farm Bureau, Music Association of Dubuque, St. Rose of Lima Parish Council and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob was a musician for sixty years, serving also as a church musician. Bob was always willing to help wherever needed. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; eight daughters, Karen (John) Steinhart, of Platteville, Carol (Randy) Slaats, of Cuba City, Lori (John) Masbruch, of Benton, LuAnn Rosseter and Nancy (Jim) Wiederholt, both of Cuba City, Debbie (Dan) Steinhoff, of Madison, Angela (Don Jr.) Langmeier and Stacy (fiancé, Keith Pauley) Busch, both of Cuba City; four sons, Tony (Teresa), of Strafford, Missouri, Tim (Cheryl), of Marshfield, Missouri, Greg (Jill), of Benton, and Eric (Jennifer), of Cuba City; two daughters-in-law, Kelly Busch, of Cuba City, and Rita Busch, of Benton; two sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Fox, of Bloomington, and Pat (David) Jogerst, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; a brother, David (Mary Jane), of Cuba City; 36 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna; his stepmother, Elfreda Busch; two sons, Steve in 1994 and Sam in 2010; a grandson, Kevin Rosseter in 1988; and a brother, James. In lieu of flowers a Robert J. “Bob” Busch Memorial Fund has been established.
