Robert J. Staub

Dickeyville, Wisconsin Robert J. Staub, 84, of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully February 21, 2021, at Ocala Regency Hospital in Ocala, Florida, surrounded by his family. Private family services will be held at Holy Ghost Church in Dickeyville with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is assisting the family. Bob was born March 5, 1936, the son of Joseph and Marcella (Wedig) Staub Jr, in Monroe Wisconsin. After high school graduation in Lena, Illinois, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving from June 1954 to June 1958. He was a Korean War veteran. He was also a member of VFW Post 6455. On January 7, 1956, Bob married Marilyn Prasse at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lena, Illinois. Bob was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville. He was a retired semi-truck driver and an avid hunter and fisherman, taking his family on many outings and vacations to California and Florida. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Marilyn; daughters, Teresa Roling and Ann Staub; sons, Tim (AnnMarie) Staub and Joseph (Jenny) Staub; son-in-law, Allan (Tina) Burr; sisters, May (Dan) Cowan, Linda Anderson, and Kay (Tom) Guntly; brothers, Ted Staub, Dennis Staub, and Tony (Sally) Staub; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Mary Jane; a son, Michael Staub; a daughter, Pamela Burr; a son-in-law, Larry Roling; and a brother-in-law, Ed Anderson.
