Benton, Wisconsin Robert P. "Bob" Teasdale, 93, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at Southwest Health Center Hospital in Platteville. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Bob Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home before the service. Robert Pearce Teasdale, the son of Joseph and Isabelle (Pearce) Teasdale, was born on September 20, 1924, at the home of his grandparents, Lewis and Hannah Teasdale, in Platteville, Wisconsin. He lived in Platteville until he was six months old and then moved to Belmont. Bob began school at the Little Red School until the winter of 1934 when he moved to Hazel Green where he graduated from high school. Bob farmed for 25 years in the Hazel Green and New Diggings areas and also worked at the East Dubuque Foundry and Eagle Ridge Golf Course. Bob married Dorothy Pickel on June 28, 1949, and they had three children, Sandra, David and Michelle. Dorothy was taken from this world on December 27, 1959. They lived in Hazel Green until he married Doris Temperly on March 24, 1964, when six children joined his family. In January 1965 they moved to New Diggings where they lived for six years until moving to Benton. Doris died on June 24, 1994. On January 24, 1998, he married Kathleen Sargent who had eight children. Bob and Kathleen traveled extensively. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, of Benton; his daughters, Sandra (Javier) Ortiz, Cape Coral, FL, Michelle (Larry) Forsythe, Winter Haven, FL; Mary Kay (Larry) Cropper, Warren, IL, Greta (Ted Morris) Sargent, Darlington, Bette Olson, Benton, Tina Brugger, Darlington; his sons, David (Julie) Teasdale, Liberty, KY; Kevin (Becky) Temperly, Clinton, IA, Charles (Jeanie) Sargent, Darlington, James (JoAnn) Sargent, Shullsburg and Joseph (Cindy) Sargent, New Diggings; a favorite brother, Joe Teasdale, Fennimore; a stepbrother, Douglas Pearce, Dubuque, IA; two daughters-in-law, Lois Temperly, Hazel Green, and Cathy Sargent, Shullsburg, WI; two sons-in-law, Jake Vogt, Hazel Green, and Rich Heinman, Monticello, WI; 53 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Temperly; his father and stepmother; his mother and stepfather; two sons-in-law; six children; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The Lord has been good to me. He has taken a lot, but in return I knew He still loved and cared for me.
