Hazel Green, Wisconsin Ronald L. Dunbar, 76, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Pastor Rodney Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30-10:00 Wednesday morning at the funeral home. Ron was born on April 19, 1935, in Apple River, Illinois, the son of Clifford and Norma (Miller) Dunbar. He married Shirley Bahr on June 16, 1956, at the Schapville Presbyterian Church in Schapville, Illinois. He worked at the Dubuque Pack for 43 years. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, trips to the casino, and playing euchre every morning at the Wigwam. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Lori Dunbar, of Dubuque, and Lisa (Roger) Averkamp, of Benton; three sons, Mike (Sue) Dunbar, of Hazel Green, Tim (Joyce) Dunbar, of East Dubuque, and Steve (Mary) Dunbar, of Mineral Point; two sisters, Barbara Hummel, of Dubuque, and Joanne McCaslin, of Independence, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother Florence Anger Dunbar; a granddaughter, Malea; a brother Meredith; and a brother-in-law, Louis McCaslin. A Ronald L. Dunbar Memorial Fund has been established.
