Ronald W. Mcnett

Mesquite, Nevada Ronald W. McNett, 82, of Mesquite, Nevada, formerly of Fennimore and Livingston, Wisconsin, died at his home Thursday, January 15, 2015. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Pastor Dan Verdegan officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Ron was born on November 23, 1932, in Platteville, Wisconsin, the son of George and Isabel (Harker) McNett. He married Lois A. Wickler on February 14, 1954, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2005. Ron graduated from Platteville High School in 1951. He served in the Air Force from 1953 through 1957. He graduated from Florida State University in 1968. Ron worked as an Auto/Ag Mechanics Instructor at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin, from 1968 to 1991. His interests were working with and teaching anything mechanical. Ron enjoyed traveling in his motor home to spend time with his family, fixing anything he could find broken, and riding his motorcycle with his sons. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara A. (Fred) Mayne, of Theresa, Wisconsin; two sons, Ronald W. (Debra) McNett Jr, of Monument, Colorado, and Jon J. McNett, of Mesquite, Nevada; two sisters-in-law, Rosemary McNett, of Cuba City, and Mary A. (Joe) Ropolewski, of St. Petersburg, Florida; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
