Rose M. Guler, 98, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Cuba City, Wisconsin, with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15 at Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City where there will be a Parish Rosary Service at 3:40 p.m. Visitation will also be held Wednesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.


Rose was born on September 7, 1926, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Runde) Hendricks. She graduated from Cuba City High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Delbert “Delbie” Guler on May 6, 1947 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2008.


Rose was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She attended countless events on behalf of her grandchildren. She loved the holidays and family get-togethers where she would cook and bake for everyone. She also loved the family tradition of going to Green Lake which was 58 years this year. Rose’s faith was very important to her. She was a devoted member of St. Rose Parish and a member of the Catholic Daughters for 75 years. Rose was an avid Cuba City Basketball fan, and one of the longest season ticket holders, dating back to 1955. She and Delbie also enjoyed going to the Elmo Club every Friday night for dinner and dancing. Some of her favorite pastimes were doing crossword puzzles, going to breakfast at Nick’s Café, and going to dinner at Chop’s Kall Inn.


Rose is survived by her children, Tom (Diana) Guler, Cuba City, Dr. Dan (Jody) Guler, Menasha, WI, Dr. Paul (Renee) Guler, Platteville, WI, Tim Guler, Cuba City, and Mary (Dr. Steve) Dalsing, Hazel Green, WI; 12 grandchildren, Chad (Ami) Guler, Curt (special friend, Jill Murphy) Guler, Brad (Kara) Guler, Meghan Lippert, Allison (Josh) Nietz, Carrie (Blake) Kotnik, Dr. Erin (Matt) Wersal, Ashley (Dr. Beau) Banton, Abbey (Brett) Runde, Dr. Tyler (Megan) Timmerman, Maggie (Zach) Colvin, and Michael (Megan) Dalsing; 23 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and her sister, Helen Martin.


She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter Cori Renee Guler; her siblings, Merlin (Margie) Hendricks, Donald (Dorothy) Hendricks, Orrin Hendricks, Myrtle (Donald) Wright, Lucille (Warner) Calvert and in infancy, Mary Jane Hendricks and Harold Hendricks; and a brother-in-law, Jack Martin.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose’s name to Right to Life. Memorials may also be sent to the funeral home at 123 N. Jackson St., Cuba City, WI 53807.
