Russell Francis Welp

Hazel Green, Wisconsin Russell F. Welp, 58, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Monday, November 26, 2018, at home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Russ was born on August 25, 1960, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Frank J. and Rita C. (Schauer) Welp. He served in the Marine Corps. Russ enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, especially fishing at O'Leary's Lake, and making fishing lures. Survivors include his siblings, Pat (Jerry) Cullen, Platteville, WI, Joyce (Ed) Kuhle, East Dubuque, IL, Rita (Jim) Schlegel, Dubuque, IA, Glen (Philly) Welp, Cuba City, WI, Gail Welp, Dubuque, IA, Paul (Sara) Welp, Spring Green, WI, Greg (Diane) Welp, East Dubuque, IL, Tom (Janice) Welp, Dickeyville, WI, Bud (Esther) Welp, Albuquerque, NM, and Jim (Linda) Welp, Donahue, IA. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Arlene Smothers, Mary Merfeld and Marilyn Welp A Russell F. Welp Memorial Fund has been established.
