Samuel C. Busch, 38, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 8:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home before the service. Sam was born on May 16, 1972, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Robert “Bob” and Myrtle (Hoppman) Busch. He married Kelly Langmeier on November 19, 1994, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City. Sam graduated from Cuba City High School in 1990 and from UW-Platteville in 1994 with a degree in soil and crop science. He worked as an agronomist. Sam was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1988. He loved spending time with his family and friends, always appreciating a good time especially during the past eight years while battling cancer. Survivors include his wife, Kelly, of Cuba City; three children, Nicholas, Alex, and Madeline, all at home; his parents, Robert “Bob” and Myrtle Busch, of Cuba City; his sisters, Angie (Boots) Langmeier, Carol (Randy) Slaats, Lu Ann Rosseter, Nancy (Jim) Wiederholt, and Stacy Busch, all of Cuba City, Deb (Dan) Steinhoff, of Madison, Karen (John) Steinhart, of Platteville, and Lori (John) Masbruch, of Benton; his brothers, Eric (Jen) Busch, of Cuba City, Greg (Jill) Busch, of Benton, Tim (Cheryl) Busch and Tony (Teresa) Busch, both of Marshfield, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Rita Busch, of Benton; his mother and father-in-law, Sylvester and Joyce Langmeier, of Cuba City; a sister-in-law, Lori (John) Kearney, of Dubuque; five godchildren, Traci Busch, Ryan Langmeier, Michael Steinhoff, and Anna and Andrew Busch; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Busch. A Samuel C. Busch Memorial Fund has been established.
